My Immortal Witness

You've gone, my mortal witness

But I find that in your wake you linger in thought

Now the eternal constant,

You no longer exist upon sight

For you have streamed into the ultimate consistency.

Like the Rock of Gilbraltar-

once signifying the end of the known world-

You've instead found indestructibility.

Brahma himself counted such a blessing

And you are finally lifted from the afflictions of the human condition.

Whether life abides beyond the great divide

Cannot equate to the souls you have adjoined in life And what better

medium- what better communicator!

Exceeds the universal affiliation.

A worthy advocate to preserve you fresh in thought

At sight, and more so sound will you come flooding in through the

ears and into mind.

Your various keep-sakes will prevail like tiny pieces of your anima

And you'll be forever present each time I raise my bowler to crown.

Goodbye my immortal witness.

May you live on amidst the living
