Ennui

Ennui castrates my better sense
Ennui clouds the opaque vision in full
Ennui feeds a fickle thought
And vents for ebullient thought.

Yet my little protégé
Defies ennui in fits
I urge to keep him distant
Whilst his presence, wholly met
His strength resides in subtlety
In delicate desire
Unto his mould find clarity
Empty of restive.

I'm bored so take my slumber
A Spartan, displaced from sight
When we are one, resound the blues
Exchange potential life.

His former a facade,
One face and mind of four.
Generation paranoia
Ennui in encore

My protégé instils faith
In a handsome boyish face
I wish to feed and nurture
Keep ennui at bay

And as ennui persists
My colouring may change
But I'll protect my little protégé
For now he will remain.

Ennui is responsible
In momentary fashion
And to ennui, I'll toast with zeal!
To seek narcotic passion.
