Human Sacrilege

The will to alter perfection
Natural human intent
Achieve the dream, then tempt to wake
Revise to former state.

Fiddle with content
Treat it with contempt
Take the time to strive,
Expansive wistful pride
To Abdicate, lament.

Wring the mango's nectar
Collect the vinyard's wine
Drain away, all in exchange
To gather back the vines.

Purge the fruits of nature
Though luxurious and lush
Instead reach out, for what without
And rot the taste of lust.
